A county accident Friday morning left one car completely demolished and two other county collisions plus two minor city wrecks this week. George Oliver Shuttle of Midland was slightly injured when his car left the Odessa highway after 2 10 am and rolled three times, totaling the vehicle. Helen Boyd Matthews drove a car that collided with a Pipkin Well Service pickup driven by Sylvester Green of Andrews near Florey. Green received a ticket for failing to grant right of way and no license, with damages about 400 on the car and 200 on the pickup. Robert Long of BR Lake struck a truck driven by Jesse Riley of Pampa at a 21 mile east intersection. car damage about 300, truck none. Long issued a traffic citation.

Skelly Oil Company No. 1 A Orson wildcat project ten miles southeast of Andrews in southeast Andrews County flowed gas and recovered oil on a drill stem test of the Wolfcamp interval. The test from 9500 to 9560 feet showed gas surface in 18 minutes with 180 feet of oil and gas cut mud plus 150 feet of heavily oil cut mud and 210 feet of 39.9 gravity oil. Drilling continued below 9560 feet.

Humble Oil Plans New District Office in Andrews
Humble Oil and Refining Co announces a new district office building to be built on the north side of the Eunice highway at the Andrews west city limit. W R Grimshaw of Odessa won the contract for a steel frame 6750 square feet facility with insulated panels and refrigerated air conditioning. The eight acre site will also include an industrial building pipe racks and a warehouse area. The current headquarters is at Florey and the Means District serves Andrews county with about 200 employees and over 600 wells in 32 RC designated fields.
