Jefferson Davis Monument plan moves to South Carolina women
From Charleston to the Daughters of the Confederacy in Virginia the long effort to complete the Jefferson Davis Monument gains new life. The Richmond convention approves the UDC taking over funds and erecting a monument to Jefferson Davis, with Mrs. S. P. McCullough and other leaders guiding a regional committee toward site selection and design.
