W J Dickson of Des Arc Arkansas spotted two large rattlesnakes fighting in a weedgrown patch. He shot one. the other died nearby. One measured five feet with seventeen rattles the other six feet and twenty six rattles. The encounter described as the first known rattlesnake fight witnessed.
