Reminiscences of the 10th Georgia at Fredericksburg
A Confederate eyewitness recalls the November 1862 march toward Fredericksburg, the fighting near Marye Heights and Hazel Run, shellfire from Stafford Heights, and the calm after the battle. The narrative honors General Cobb, laments a defaming accusation, and notes truce exchanges, a melting sense of camaraderie with Union troops, and later convalescence near Frederick.
Close Call at the Wilderness May 6 1864
Benning's Brigade recalls the Wilderness battle as Lee's corps and Hill's forces strove with the Union lines. The confederates endured heavy casualties with improvised defense and limited options to advance, retreat, or surrender, while General Lee and Longstreet commanded nearby. Colonel Grorot MoRaz signed the reminiscence.
