Saved by His Horse in a Deserted Drift Battle

Graphic account by Surgeon Captain Grey of Ithodésin describes a failed ambush at Mashangombi where 13 horses fell and men were nearly killed. Electric Plant at York Haven Promises Big Power

York Haven Pa will host one of the nation’s largest electric plants, costing about two to three million dollars with an output of about 20,000 horsepower. Supervisors include H. J. Carter and partners from New York. Plans call for a long river wall and widened race feeding twenty water wheels to drive dynamos distributing power to Harrisburg Lancaster York and surrounding towns within thirty to forty miles. Early spring labor will number around two thousand. completion estimated in about three years.

The Noble Crittenden Hero and Confederate Valor
