In OnayozeurG on November 26, Thomas J. Jackson of a rural eight miles from the city had two rifles. He loaded one, found it faulty, used the other, and set both down where he worked. His sons Thomas J. Jr and Jobo L retrieved the rifles and dad instructed them to carry them home. While walking home the elder used the empty rifle to josh his brother, who replied with the loaded rifle, and a ball pierced Thomas J. Jackson Jr.
