British Warships Enter Lake Erie

Cleveland reports the first Trilis warships to visit Lake Erie since the War of 1812 will arrive Friday for a peaceful mission. The 270-foot Toby and the 220-foot Salisbury will cruise Creal Lakes for the opening of the Seaway and the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. Public tours resume Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 PM before departing Tuesday.

Authorities Probe Bomb Killing Of 62 Year Old Widow

Seattle AP report details the blast that killed Pearl Kongste a 62 year old widow in her front yard on Wednesday night. Police consider it possibly linked to unsolved poisonings of her niece and the niece's husband and seek a man known to the victim as a possible embittered acquaintance. A brown paper sack containing the bomb was found on her front walk. a leg and a hand were blown off.
