Hobart E. Wray, 61, a Republican candidate for mayor of Muncie, died on the way to a hospital after a heart attack at home. Delaware County GOP chairman William Sutton set a committee meeting for Wednesday night to select a replacement on the November 5 ballot. Wray had only served as precinct committeeman and had resigned as general manager of Indiana Bridge Co to run.
