Pendleton Power Outage Affects Large Madison County Area
Spokesmen from Public Service of Indiana and REMC could not determine the cause of a widespread power outage in southern Madison County and parts of Hancock and Henry counties. The outage began in Pendleton at 10 25 p m with intermittently flickering lines and left Pendleton and Milner’s Corner in Hancock County without power. A PSC spokesman said a real problem existed southeast of Pendleton in the PSCT hookup and other facilities were offline, including an HEME transmitter and the Pendleton police communications network switched to diesel power.
