Loren E Bollinger 40 an OSU aeronautical engineering assistant professor known for rocket propulsion writings was found shot three times in a Fidelity Inc recording studio downtown Columbus. Police say the killing occurred overnight. FBI agents joined the probe.

About 850 members of Local 113 allied with the Industrial Workers of America walked out at the Dana Corp plant in Marion Indiana after a weekend vote. The strike centers on a grievance over transfer procedures between departments. Pickets blocked four plant entrances as management and union talks had not been scheduled. The plant operates with roughly 1 020 workers.
