Panthers Jury Deliberates Third Day in Seale Huggins Trial
NEW HAVEN Conn AP The jury in the six month old capital trial of Black Panthers Bobby Seale and Ericks Huggins completed a third day of deliberations with no verdict. They reread portions of Mrs Huggins testimony and heard more of the tape introduction to the Rackley interrogation. The panel, five blacks and seven whites, planned to resume Saturday at 9 am after about 15 hours of consideration. The defense blames government witness Sams for the Rackley killing. Seale and Huggins say Sams was responsible. The trial also covers kidnapping and conspiracy charges.
