Elias A. Pierce Dies After Lingering Illness in Anderson
Elias A. Pierce of 210 Lincoln Ave died Friday at Community Hospital Anderson after a lingering illness. He was born February 14, 1867 in Frankton, son of Edwin and Catherine Greendyie Pierce. A retired farmer and longtime Alexandria resident, he belonged to the First Methodist Church and is survived by his widow Katheryn Sloan Pierce, a son Edwin Pierce of Eaton, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Earl M. Kyle Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery mausoleum.
