Subway Slaying Sparks Racial Hatred Case in New York

Christopher Lynch and Terry Toomer faced murder charges after Lynch stabbed 17 year old Andrew Mormile aboard a Harlem bound subway as three Negro girls were molested. Police identified Lynch after an arriagnment and a court date was set for March 25 with no bail.

Civil rights marchers return to church after confrontation

In Selma the protest drew about 3 000 to 5 000 people as King and followers, drenched by rain, moved to Jackson Street Baptist Church after clashes at the courthouse. Ralph Abernathy and John Lewis spoke. 100 clergymen joined the voter drive and a larger crowd included students and white clergy.

Strike May Vanks After Union Rejects Three Year Deal
