Obituary of Wilbur Edward Aldred of Lapel

Wilbur Edward Aldred, 81, retired Guide Lamp employee, died at home Sunday after a heart attack. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lapel Evangelical United Brethren Church, with Rev. David Hancock officiating. Burial in Brookside Cemetery. Survived by widow Daisy Aldred, two sons Harry and Glen, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Alma Kirkman dies after two week illness in Alexandria

Alma Q O Kirkman of Hancock County and Alexandria died Monday at Bradford Nursing Home after a two week illness. Widow of Muncie attorney John Parker Kirkman she was a Methodist and had a daughter Mabel Kirklin Bryant. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Davis and Strider Funeral Home with Rev Clayton Steele officiating. Interment in Pleasant Run Cemetery. Survivors include daughter Mabel, two brothers and other relatives. Northern Indiana Public Service Co announced a 123 million dollar spend including a 23 million dollar generating plant and 31 million in improvements by 1958 with new head offices in multiple cities.
