Washington AP Romney's campaign leaders met him in a Boston motel on short notice and informed him of poor polling and fundraising for the New Hampshire primary. Romney decided to withdraw from the Republican nomination race citing bleak prospects and his sense he could not win.

Anderson Community Concerts announce 1968 69 lineup
Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians will headline the 1968 69 Anderson Community Concerts at the Paramount Theatre. The Obernkirchen Children’s Choir from Germany is also scheduled. Association President C Don Caldwell says the four concert format will continue if subscriptions grow as in prior years. Volunteer solicitations for renewals run this week under co chairmen Mr and Mrs Robert Johnston. The current program includes Fiesta Mexicana Jerome Hines and the Norman Luboff Choir and Lee Evans Trio on March 7. Campaign headquarters begin Friday at the Anderson Arts Center 226.

Australia to Send Refugee Aid to Vietnam
Canberra reports the Australian government will dispatch 180 tons of condensed milk and 22400 in relief funds to aid South Vietnamese refugees. External Affairs Minister Paul Hasluck announced the package on Thursday to support housing repairs with timber and roofing tiles.
