Square Dancers Attend National Parley in Minnesota
About 14 000 dancers from across Minnesota and beyond gathered at the Municipal Auditorium in St. Paul for a three day national square dancing convention. Honorary host Bob Osgood welcomed attendees as Indiana callers helped lead workshops and new material. Exhibitions featured groups from the Seattle World Fair and the "Expanding Squares" progression led by Jerry Holt and Ed Gilmore. A Saturday style show showcased homemade dresses with the tear drop three tier skirt and lace trims.
