Camp Kikihawenund hosts large Scout summer program
More than 1,200 Boy Scouts from Anderson and four-county Kikthawenund Area Council converge at Camp Kikihawenund five miles southwest of Frankton for a summer program. Staff includes Jim Czarreicki, David Mills, Ric Dunkerly, Chuck Kinsey, Steve Fox, Dick Tompkins, and Bart Precup, with John Craig as program director and Larry Weale, Jeff Gill, and Barry Callen in senior roles. The 218-acre Pipe Creek reservation has operated since 1927 and has expanded with a new winterized aquatics building slated for completion in July.
