Red Execution of Sergeant Called Murder In Viet Nam
U S Embassy called the execution of Sgt Harold George Bennett 25 a wanton murder by Communist guerrillas. Bennett captured December near Binh Gia and survived by his mother Mrs Pauline Bennett of Perryville Ark and five sisters and three brothers. The Viet Cong broadcast to Hanoi declared his death a warning to U S aggressors. The report heightened fears for about a dozen other Americans held by guerrillas.
