Circus Wreck Memorials Mark 1918 Train Disaster
In Hammond Indiana a memorial honors the 1918 circus train wreck victims. Guardian Dierickx and survivor Timm recall the tragedy that killed riders and performers when a troop train collided with a circus train, many burned in four cars. The site received a marker decades later as the event remains a somber chapter in circus history.
