Seymour man Gene Tipps woke from an eight year coma after a May 1967 car crash and related brain trauma. Doctors offered little hope, yet he regained consciousness during gall bladder surgery recovery and sought to contact Cisco Junior College to graduate as planned in 1967.
The Board of Church Extension and Home Missions named Miss Nilah Meier to assist in assessing needs of Spanish speaking congregations and serving in related roles. Rev. George D. Blackwell Jr. was appointed director of building advising on church facilities and development.
