Labor act fees victorious again
Opponents of the Labor Law Reform Act survived a key test as the Senate failed to end a filibuster. The vote was 58 to 41, short of the 60 needed. Sen. Lugar praised the result while predicting no immediate break in opposition. AFL-CIO efforts and a list of alleged union violations were noted as part of lobbying.
