Sheep Dipping Starts June 23 in Madison County
Eighty seven farmers request sheep dipping and worming via the Madison County Extension Service. Harold R. Berry notes the farms hold over 2,740 sheep and lambs. Vance Witham of Atlanta offers dipping service, handling 226 to 360 head daily on up to 10 farms, with dipping in Madison County from June 23 to July 6, Monday through Friday, using Saturdays for rain-day catch-up.
