Indiana to place Gettysburg Memorial monument
Gettysburg project within weeks of final specifications for an Indiana State Memorial at Gettysburg National Military Park. Franklin De Moss of the Gettysburg Memorial Commission said the group, created by Indiana’s 1967 Legislature with a $20 000 appropriation, will bid the monument contract under state law. The commission has chosen a site but needs bid specs and may consult an architect as they prepare for a lowest bid procurement. Indiana has been underrepresented among state Memorials at Gettysburg.
