Navy to test anti submarine hydrofoil craft on Lake Washington
Navy researchers join Boeing and Martinac Shipbuilding to develop a jet powered anti submarine hydrofoil test boat. The 38 foot craft uses two forward hulls and a single jet engine to achieve high speed testing near the Gold Cup Seafair course on Lake Washington Seattle. Senator Magnuson predicts extensive high speed watercraft testing for passenger and cargo service.
