Altrusa Year Ends With Dinner and Installations
Altrusa Club held a June 6 dinner meeting at the YMCA Dining Room in Darlington to close the year. Miss Lottie Franklin, retiring president Mrs. A E Hollinbeck, and vice president Mrs. Hubert Valentine led the installation of officers and a summary of the year's activities. New members Dorothy Farmer and ME Pay Green were welcomed, and luncheon plans for July 11 and August 1 were announced for the Garden Room at the YMCA.

Four Circles of North Anderson Church of God Meet
The four circles of the Women’s Missionary Society of the North Anderson Church of God held their June meetings. Circle 1 met at Ruth Reed’s home with twelve members. Circle 2 met at the church Fellowship Hall. Circle 3 met at Helen Faulds’ home. Circle 4 met at Nancy Courtney’s home. Plans were made for year projects including a December bazaar and a rummage sale in September. Doctor of Divinity Robert W. Fribley will lead a prayer retreat at Kilbuck Park August 3. Fribley, a DePauw and Boston University graduate, serves on church and hospital boards and has a long local Methodist record.
