Northrop reports bribe payments in Saudi F5E deal findings
Northrop Corp disclosed that $450000 was paid to a Saudi salesman who claimed the funds bribed two Saudi generals to assist the F5E jet fighter deal. The salesman denies bribery and says no payments were made. The committee noted other minor overseas payments and a late 1971 to 1973 sequence. Northrop awaits SEC and Senate subcommittee actions.
