Police School Being Planned At College
The Indiana Law Enforcement Academy will run a six week pilot program at Indiana Central College from June 23 to August 1. Executive director Herman H. Freed said a private fundraising drive will back the academy with an estimated cost of 37 500 to 50 000 dollars. County prosecutors will nominate at least one participant from each county for the course aimed at inexperienced policemen and sheriff's deputies to define basic first year training.
