Pair nabbed near Alex after Gas City robbery
Out of state couple arrested after Gas City robbery as they fled in a stolen 1978 Chevrolet Nova. Paul A. Dingee and Arlene M. Mitchell, both charged with auto theft and related offenses, were tracked to Alexandria where authorities stopped their vehicle on Ind 9N near the Yale Country Club. The duo allegedly stole about $80 cash and a fifth of whiskey from the Gas City liquor store and were later confined in Grant County jail.

Raymore begins first weekend confinement after court revocation
The Indiana Department of Corrections reports two weekends have begun as part of the sentence. At a May 17 court session the suspension was revoked, and Raymore’s attorney Craig Campbell told The Herald an appeal was started but later dropped. Campbell said the portion about handling outstanding checks has been completed. Raymore checked into jail around 5 50 p.m. Friday to begin confinement.
