The Salem Community School Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the superintendent’s office in the elementary building. On the agenda are the science project report, elementary textbook recommendations, opening of bus sale bids, summer school contracts, athletic program recommendations, and principals’ reports with resignations.
Read A Rama scheduled for June 12 at West Vale Elementary in Anderson from 9 30 to 11 30 a.m. The event, sponsored by Indiana Department of Public Instruction Reading Effectiveness Division and state libraries, promotes Reading is Fundamental giving away free paperback books to children. University officials announce the second summer session runs June 12 to August 4 with advance registration and a cutoff date. Registration hours include 11:30 am daily in the east wing. Advising and schedule approval available. Copies of the class schedule are available upon request.

West choir participants are excused for family vacations church and scout camps. Choral director McKean requests notification of interested graduating members who may sing with the group.
