Organizers of the Munich Games face a final month to fix problems exposed during five days of test events. Mt Lawn Midget Program Slated At Mt Lawn Speedway
Mt Lawn Speedway presents a CORA sanctioned midget racing program on Sunday night July 30. The night includes a 25 lap midget feature and a 100 lap Founder’s Day super six race plus a 10 lap consolation, with trials at 6:30 pm and racing at 8:00 pm. Winners earn 500 dollars in the super six event. Bottles of engines from Offenhauser Chevrolet Buick and Volvo power the field with drivers including Roger Branson Bobby Jones Gene Force Jim Hines Gary Reynolds and Tim Thomas. Mount Lawn owner George A. Sweigart says modified and late model racing will not return for the foreseeable future.
