Summit May Have Taught India To Trust Bhutto
AP reports that India’s government now trusts Pakistan’s Zulfikar Ali Bhutto after the India Pakistan summit. New Delhi agreed to return 5139 square miles of territory for 69 square miles, signaling faith in Bhutto amid Kashmir talks. Bhutto warned he must be dealt with for five years, or risk military rule. An Indian pledge allowed Bhutto to regain leverage domestically, though 91000 Pakistani prisoners remain unresolved.
