Prosecutor Decision In Indiana Court Order
Judge John M. Lewis ruled that State Auditor Dorothy Gardner must pay $200 to Jonathan J. Robertson for work as special prosecutor from June 15 to 30. Christopher Moritz, elected prosecutor, was enjoined from practicing law June 10 for not being a member of the Indiana State Bar Association. his rehearing appeal was denied 3-2 by the Supreme Court with justices Myer and Jackson dissenting. The order determined who would receive the payment. Atty. Gen. Edwin K. Steers advised issuing Robertson the check. Moritz’s regular salary was held.
