Man accused in deaths of six children in Rockford
Simon Peter Nelson, 46, a counseling worker, tried to save his marriage with vows and sobriety but his wife left him. He stands charged with six counts of murder after his six sleeping children aged 3 to 12 were found dead from blunt force and stab wounds. Indicted by a Winnebago County grand jury to speed trial, arraignment set, with burial plans for the youngsters.
