Mock Trial Becomes Real Thing in Madison Court
A planned mock trial at Madison Superior Court turned real as 12 Madison Heights High School seniors sat on a jury in a civil fraud case. Judge Schrenker, having learned the case settled, appointed a bystander jury from the students who then deliberated for almost three hours and ordered restitution of $600 to the plaintiff.

Delco Remy to furlough 875 more workers this Friday
Delco Remy Division will furlough an additional 875 employees indefinitely this Friday bringing total layoffs to about 2,700. A division spokesman cited inventory reductions tied to falling sales of cars trucks and other vehicles as the reason. Unemployment benefits will supplement pay up to 95 percent of a normal work week for those affected.
