Police Blotter Details Arrests and Crashes in City

A city man, Fred Scott Sr., 43, was arrested on a Madison Superior Court warrant after a five month prostitution probe. Other items include a three car crash on East Eighth Street injuring a woman and her young son, a break in at the Paramount Theater, a minor two car collision on Bethany Road injuring a 16 year old, a county power outage cutting sheriff radio for 90 minutes, and a burglary on the south side with several appliances and liquor stolen. County road crews report 95 percent of roads passable after heavy snow and cold, with extensive snowfall cleanup underway.

Food Stamp Plan Canceled by Bergland

Agriculture Secretary Bergland canceled Ford administration regulations that would have tightened food stamp benefits. The rules, tied up by court action, were not in effect. Park Police Fire Incident Costs City Six Thousand

Cincinnati Park Police tried to save energy by lighting a fire in their ornamental fireplace. The blaze damaged the back wall and the chief's office, costing about 6000 dollars. Officials said thermostats were set to six degrees with no flue present.
