A six woman six man jury in Lapel convicted William Lee Crooks, 22, of Lapel, of involuntary manslaughter and related DUI charges for a crash on October 28, 1966 that killed Terry Lee Prifoglo, 17, and injured Deputy James Fisher and Deputy William Stanford after a high speed chase on Indiana 132. The jury deliberated about ten hours over two days, with sentencing set for February 10.
