Retailers to gain tax cut under Indiana bill
An Indiana House bill would cut the sales tax burden on retailers to 2 percent of collected taxes from the current rate. Projections from the State Budget Agency estimate retailers could gain up to 3.7 million in 1974-75 and 6.1 million in 1974-73. The measure accompanies other(prefiled) bills on school attendance age, hunting without a license, driver photo IDs starting 1977, 5 cent beverage container deposits, and itemized medical statements from hospitals and nursing homes.
