Fonda Family Trial Ends in Mistrial on Key Counts
In Los Angeles a jury deadlocked on Peter Fonda's case and yielded a mistrial after 1642 hours of deliberation. Co-defendant John B. Williamsport High School senior Bill Hensley topped Indiana's junior shelled corn yield contest with 175.4 bushels per acre at the 10 acre trial. Southern Wells High School senior Steve Cosch won the junior soybean yield with 59 bushels per acre. Russell Warmonth of Quincy was second in corn with 173.2. Cowpatee Hayter of Hamlet was second in soybeans with 57.1. Davy Bub of Crothersville was third in soybeans with 55.6.
