Police May Moonlight As City Workers In Indiana ruling
Indiana Attorney General John J. Dillon ruled that a policeman may be employed part time in a city street department as an employee not an officer. The ruling allows off hours police work if no conflict of interest exists and does not override local ordinances restricting city workers from holding other city jobs.
