Merit's Enriched Flavor Tobacco Breaks Low Tar Mold
In a historic breakthrough, Richmond Research Center scientists isolated key tobacco flavor ingredients to boost taste in a low tar cigarette. January 1975 marks the development of Enriched Flavor tobacco packed into MERIT, with taste tests and comparisons showing stronger flavor and up to 60 percent more tar than some rivals.
