A $7,500 personal injury damage suit was filed against the City of Anderson in Superior Court 2 yesterday by Geneva Wilson who claims she was injured in an accident caused by a hole in the street at Main and oh July 24, 1956. The suit is filed for the plaintiff by Robert R. Robbins Anderson attorney.
Read Canady of Madison County urges residents to join a national TB appeal linked to Ed Sullivan. Viewers are asked to mail Christmas Seals to a Friendship Tree in New York to aid hospitalized children and brighten holidays. Contributions near the halfway mark exceed $12,000 for the Madison County TB Association.
Attorneys for Trudy Jo Baker 17 and husband Robert 26 seek separate trials in Marion County Circuit Court for the murder of Pvt. Larry Kirk 21 Winslow Ind. Kirk's body was found in a ditch near Salem. Lawyers say the joint trial could prejudice Mrs Baker's defense.
A Duluth Duluth Minn report states three crewmen died when a B47 jet bomber, operated by the Air Force, crashed near the Duluth base after a low pass over the city. Witnesses including Miss Ethel Wise and Miss Ann McFarland described a gun being discharged and the bomber skimming the outskirts before wreckage spread over a 800 foot area. The victims were Maj. William Gardner Capt. Wild Baldwin and Capt. Byron Blackmore. Defense argued a threatening letter and testimony pointed to alleged tensions with the air crew prior to the crash. The base avoided closure after the incident and noted the bomber’s speed and size.
Indiana State Police Supt Zeis denounces the rising police killings as appalling and urges prosecutors to seek swift, certain punishment for those who kill or injure officers. He calls policemen marked as targets and asks for tougher action and driver safety and teen counseling support.

Indiana University joined six other universities to construct and run a National Astronomical Observatory. The National Science Foundation will finance the project with 3 100 08 dollars for next year. The observatory will be built on an Arizona mountain and be accessible to U S astronomers.
