AFL-CIO backs modified tax plan and school funding stance
Indianapolis AFL-CIO leader Dallas Sells urged opposing the quick property tax relief unless permanent relief is included. He pushed using surplus funds for teacher retirement and mental health, and favored state level taxes over local options. The group also supports an 18 year old voting proposal and noted talks with lawmakers. In observances, Pearl Harbor survivors marked the cenotaph at the World War Memorial.
