State official discusses surplus sale rules for local units
Polis AP reports Gen. Jobs J Dillon told John T Hatchett that state agencies may sell surplus property to local governments under a 1967 law. He said the sale should favor inter government arrangements rather than single item bidding. The discussion followed Hatchett’s question about a used state police car and is tied to authorization of localities to conduct such transfers.
