Odle Named Head of Public Relations for United Fund
FAIRMOUNT Don Odle of Upland and Taylor University, assistant to the president and head basketball coach, was named head of the public relations division for Grant County United Fund. The announcement by United Fund president Leonard Hopen notes Odle co-chaired the 1967 Good Neighbor Crusade which raised over 378000. this year’s goal is 412995. The PR committee will develop and implement educational and promotional programs and coordinate campaign publicity with 27 member agencies and various chairmen named for committees.

Middletown Joiners Class of Sixth Street Christian Church met at the Jennings home for a carry-in supper and ice cream. Richard Gilkison led the meeting and final plans were made for the annual church picnic at Dietrich Memorial Park Community Building on Sept. 8. The afternoon features games and cone tests followed by a vesper service.
