Economic Upswing Indicated by Government Reports
Government releases show personal income rose 3.6 billion in July to an annual rate of 801.8 billion while real gross national product in the April-June quarter stood at 724.9 billion. Industrial production rose 0.2 percent in July after a three month decline, with gains in consumer goods but declines in furniture and defense equipment.
