County Merit Board Proposed for Sheriff Department

Madison County considers creating a four member Merit Board appointed by the sheriff to run from April 1 1960. Funeral and career of Charles G. Otto Bulen

Charles G. Otto Bulen, 57, of 198 Walnut St, died Tuesday morning at St. John's Hospital after five days admitted. He worked 35 years at Delta-Remy Division, UAW Local 662 member, and lived much of his life in Anderson. Born Sept 12, 1911, he was survived by widow Neva, daughter Verna Merritt, two sons Charles R. and Robert B. Former Pendleton and Indiana Univ grad, 1949 BA, 1952 IU Law, served as precinct committeeman, ward leader, GOP chairmen, delegate, and national committeeman.
