R D Teague of Alexandria dies after swimming accident

Robert D Teague 24 of Alexandria died in his home after extended illness from a broken neck suffered during a 1959 swimming accident in Germany while serving in the U S Army. Church of controls plans modern lighting and decor for reading room

A church in the southwest corner of the edifice opens the free public reading room daily from 11 45 a m to 4 p m with separate heating and cooling. Recessed auditorium lighting, new floodlights, and platform back lighting enhance the readers platform used by two readers for Christian Science services. The interior follows a colonial style in bone white with coral red upholstery and beige twist carpet. The foyer features mahogany chairs and benches against colonial wallpaper. vinyl terrazzo floors harmonize with Quaker pink Sunday School rooms. Mercury vapor floodlights illuminate the white porch with Grecian columns and colonial lanterns. New concrete steps, iron railings, walks and a rear parking lot were added with landscaping.

Public tribute to Mrs Toner draws 100 plus attendees
