A proposed settlement of a suit against the city of Anderson over the Lafayette Township well field will be discussed April 20 at Leach School during a township residents meeting. The city council approved the settlement in a special meeting. The suit was filed in August 1971 by property owners near the wells. The terms include converting the suit to a low class action and outline damage methods. Residents of Lafayette and northeastern Richland areas are urged to attend. Cheetham chairs the Lafayette Township Water Resource Committee.
