Arlene Noriega Crowned Cinco de Mayo Queen 2003
Arlene Noriega won the Cinco de Mayo Queen 2003 04 title after a stage pageant with four contestants in white gowns. She received roses, a trophy, a $1 000 scholarship, and a trip for two to Cruz Azul Mexico while other finalists from Cypress High Loara High and Fullerton High earned runner up honors. Noriega planned to attend USC aided by the scholarship funds, and community organizer Ofelia Olivos noted the event rewards hard work over beauty.
