Women to Inspire at Global Conference in Anaheim
Coastline Community College Foundation hosts the Orange County Global Women’s Conference at the Hilton Anaheim with consuls from four countries including Daiva Valerija Cekanauskas- Navarrete of Lithuania Liliana Cino de Silva of Peru Alejandra Garcia Williams of Mexico and Wenwa Odinga Oranga of Kenya. The event runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with $150 at the door and $75 for students.

Blacksmith Shop Opens on Center Street in 1895
Photo from Anaheim Public Library shows Fred Pressel’s Blacksmith Shop at 218 W Center St built in 1895 with mule teams and a horse drawn wagon waiting for service. Archivists date the image to 1895 to 1910, noting it as the first of Pressel’s two shops.
